Project Title: Arroyo Grande Rule 20a

Location: Arroyo Grande, CA

Scope of work:
Required 2,651′ of trenching in downtown Arroyo Grande sidewalks to install 8,129′ of primary and secondary conduit, 20 primary enclosures and 13 splice boxes.

Challenges:
-Safety of pedestrians during hours of operation for surrounding businesses
-Each utility hired their own contractor to complete their portion of the installation, requiring more time to monitor and enforce safety, quality and diligent project management from all parties.

Result/Solutions:
-MGE worked closely with the City of Arroyo Grande and the surrounding business owners to ensure the satisfaction of all parties.
-MGE took the lead on the coordination of contractors for restoration to ensure the project met quality results and was completed according to schedule.
